Well I finally watched this movie after many recommendations to do so. Big thumbs up!! I fall more and more in love with Steve Carrell with everything thing he does. However, the only bad part of watching this movie was the intense homesickness for New England and especially the New England coastal area that resurfaced in me. I enjoy Minnesota but it will never feel like HOME to me.

I also want Dianne Weist to adopt me..sorry Mom .

So, one thing I have noticed in the rare picture I will allow of myself is the glaring fact that as I age ever so gracefully ( who the hell am I kidding..I am going kicking and screaming like a toddler who wants a denied ice cream cone) one of my many can’t be overlooked flaws are my ever increasing under the eye dark circles. Stress has kicked the crap out of that area, with lack of sleep; etc. So, I have embarked upon a quest to find that perfect product to kick the you know what out of those damn black holes under my eyes.

One of the first products I have tried is…..

Bobbi Brown Tinted Eye Brightener

I love Bobbi Brown cosmetics. I really love her philosophy on color and skin care. In addition to it’s brightening effect, this product is said to contain the “latest in skincare technology to instantly give the eye area a brighter, more refreshed look”.

From her website, it appears that this was initially marketed as an alternative to concealer, usable by anyone who wants to brighten up their under eye area, or not use full concealer. Some MA’s say to use over concealer, some say under. I use it under due to the extreme pinkish hue of this product.

Alone this did not cover my dark circles, but it did do a pretty good job of brightening the under eye area. The medium shade is a slightly pinked peach color that sinks quickly into my under eye area and helps my under eye concealer to cover my dark circles. In addition, I have found that using it under concealer helps keep the concealer from creasing into my fine lines.

I also use it on eye lid as an eyeshadow primer. BE VERY CAREFUL..a little bit goesssss a long way and you can get some pretty odd looking eyes if you go hog wild with it. Please don’t ask how I know that.

However, one of my complaints is the packaging stinks!!!! It comes in a glass jar and while you get a ton of product, I waste quite a bit each time I wrestle with getting it open. And a glass jar??? That is so waiting to be dropped and broken. This would be so much better in a tube. But all in all a good product for women with fair to medium skin tones.
